Our visit to Utah

We spent almost the whole month of August in Utah, visiting with our awesome family and friends. When I originally bought our airplane tickets they were for only 2 weeks, but one day I was feeling extremely homesick. So I called Doug and told him if the tickets weren't that expensive to change then I wanted to go home, sooner rather than later. So the awesome husband that Doug is, changed our tickets for a week and half early. Which made Doug miss our 6th anniversary and Ben's 3rd B-Day. It was nice to be able to be home and visit with all of the people that I miss so dearly.

We took Genevieve down to Provo, to met my Grandma Terry. I was really glad that my Grandma was able to met Genevieve and to see Ben again.
My Dad, Ben, Great Grandma Terry and Genevieve. I guess this counts as a four generation picture because I am the one that is taking the picture. My sister and her kids came with us too. It was fun to be able to play with our cousins.Genevieve looks so big in my Grandma's arms. My Grandma is one amazing lady. She is 92 years old and has been living on her own for 32 years. She is such a sweet lady, I am glad that we were able to visit with her. My cute little niece Peyton loved to help out with Genevieve. Ben and his dad sit on the pouch and eat peanuts all the time. So Ben thought it was pretty cool that Grandpa likes to eat peanuts too! While they were cracking peanuts they were having the cutest conversation about what they learned in church that day.
On Ben's Birthday, my sister LeeAnn and I took our kids down to Thanksgiving Point to see the petting zoo. The kids waiting patiently until the horse started to move on the hay ride.
Garrett and Ben had fun petting the little horse.
Ben wanted to get a better view of the little horse. I honestly thought Ben would have gotten in the cage if I hadn't stopped him. My Dad took me and the kids up to Sliver Lake in Big Cottonwood Canyon. When I was growing up we spent a lot of time up in the mountains. So it was nice to take Ben to this place where I have such good memories. Ben was very interested in this guy who was reeling in a fish. He kept telling him that his daddy fishes too.
I miss this about Utah! When I saw the mountains I cried! I forgot how much I missed the beautiful mountains! You don't realize how you love them until there gone!!
