In August we had our 2nd Semi-Annual Terry family reunion. This year my family decided to go to Bear Lake. My mom isn't much of a camper, so my parents got us all little individual cabins for our little families. We had such a fun time!! I love spending time with my family, and its more fun when everyone is relaxing and enjoying themselves. The KOA had this little train ride every night and because it was free, the kids rode it every night. All of the 11 grand kids minus Genevieve.
This is where Doug spent a lot of his time. Playing horse shoes with my big bro Jordan. When neither of them could be found it was safe to say they were at the pits. Reed is a such a little kid at heart!!
This picture is one side of the story! Genevieve is humoring my sister. And this is the other side of that story! LeeAnn is such a good sport! She knows how to make the little ones laugh. She is going to kill me for putting this picture up.We roasted marshmallows and played around the camp fire at night. My mom made these cute little hats for all the little girls. Genevieve is sporting hers as she is about to fall asleep.
Playing on the shore at Bear Lake, it was too cold to get in all the way but we still had fun!My nieces Ara and Maya building sand castles! Until the boys came and ruined them!Reed was trying to see how far he could walk into the lake without taking off his shirt. Some good old fashion brotherly love!We had fun with the pinata that my dad got! Poor Elmo!! I think the adults had more with the pinata then the kids did!!My parents rented wave runners one afternoon. We all had so much fun!! We all had a little need for speed! I took my dad out for a ride.Ben patiently waiting for his turn to ride on the wave runner.
I had a lot of fun, but I would honestly have to say that the funnest part was listening to my Aunt Marie laughing so hard! I took her out for a ride and was really gentle at first, knowing that this was her first time doing anything like this. After a couple of minutes she kept telling me to go faster and faster! Then she would just start laughing so hard! I have never since her have so much fun before, I loved that I got to be a part of it!While Doug and I were out playing on the wave runners, this is what Genevieve did. Doesn't she look cute!!
Our wonderful lifeguards and babysitters!! Thanks Aunt Marie, Grandma, and Mom!
I am so glad that Doug and I were able to attend our family reunion this year. We had so much fun hanging out with my family and building even stronger friendships. This year the only person that we were missing was Ducky. We all really missed her and felt her absence but we all know the important work that she is doing on her mission in the D.C. area. But we are looking forward to seeing everyone present at the next family reunion.
