Every year the county that we live in puts on this mini carnival. Doug thinks its pretty lame, so this year I tricked him into going. I told him we were going grocery shopping, but when I passed the store he figured out that I tricked him!! (I was proud of myself) Anyway, it turned out to be pretty fun. There was a half dozen or so fire trucks and ambulance that we were open for the kids to crawl through. One fireman even let the kids go up the big ladder. And of course I don't have pictures, because as soon as Ben and Doug saw the trucks they took off.
Ben was waiting not so patiently to go into the petting zoo area.
Ben thought it was disgusting that the goat was licking me.
I thought it was pretty funny, that Ben kept asking me if he could ride the donkey. He said that it looks like a horse just smaller.
Ben really wanted to take this pig home with us. He said that he would feed it and it can sleep in his bed. When I asked him who would clean up after it when it goes to the bathroom, he said he would take it outside like Baxter (our neighbors dog). Smart kid, but we are a no animals house!
We let Ben pick one of the rides to ride. He choose the little Merry go round. It was pretty small, but as you can see the smile on his face he was pretty happy.
One thing that I made sure we did was, that the police department was there making little ID cards for the kids. So I had Doug wait in the really long line so that we could get one for Ben. The police took Ben finger prints and his picture and made a card. I told Ben that he better not do anything wrong, because the police have his finger prints on file. He now makes sure that I carry his card in my wallet. I hope that I will never have to use his ID card, but I like to be safe no sorry.

Big Ben would have killed me if I tricked him like that, you naughty wife, you (but way to go, that was smart).
