Things have been pretty crazy at our house the last couple of weeks. I have spent so much time on the Internet, trying to figure things out for our move to Colorado. So the last thing I want to do is blog, but things are starting to come together and I found these pictures and thought they were too cute not to post. So they are a couple of weeks late.
A couple of weeks ago, we went on a nice drive down Skyline drive in the Shenandoah National Forest, to see all of the beautiful fall colors. It was a beautiful drive and the trees were in full fall bloom. Sorry, the slacker that I am I did not take any pictures. While on our drive we went on a detour to pick pumpkins at a farm.
Ben had a good time riding in the wagon. He tried to pull Doug, you can image how well that worked!
The pumpkin patch was a little picked over. But that really didn't matter, we still had a lot of fun picking out the right pumpkins. Ben would pick up a pumpkin and look over it and if it had any flaws he would toss it to the ground, which would send it rolling down the hill. Ben got some good exercise chasing all the pumpkins down the hill!! It was pretty funny to watch.
Showing off another "perfect" pumpkin.
Ben was so proud of the pumpkins that he picked out!!
Ben felt that because he was three years old, he should be able to get three pumpkins. In this picture, Doug and Ben are talking about the pumpkins and Ben's reasoning behind three. It was really funny to listen to them talking about them and how Ben felt like he needed three. I have to admit he had some pretty good arguments, but in the end we only got two.
Genevieve sat in the stroller the whole time, sucking on the stroller straps. She is such a happy content baby. Love her for it!!
The pumpkins are still sitting on our porch because Benjamin did not want to carve them. I'll talk him into it sometime before we move. I keep telling him there are yummy seeds inside.
