My favorite season of the year is the fall. I love watching the leaves turn colors, so we decided to take a drive out to see what the great state of Colorado looks like in the fall. I didn't know it at the time, but Doug was also scouting out fishing holes.
Sometimes my kids can act like they like each. We told the kids that they needed to be quiet so that they didn't scare the cows that were roaming around. Genevieve walked around like this for a while. When we came to a gate, we asked Genevieve how we get around it, she said she would show us. And thats how you get around the gate when you are little! Oh to be little again!! The kids had fun throwing pine cones and sticks into the river. When I asked Ben why the wasn't throwing rocks, he said he didn't want to hurt the fishing that were swimming, he just wanted to scare them. Good logic, I guess. Maddi wanted some sandwhich too. I love this little girl and how her whole lights up when she smiles! You can almost hear her saying pretty please! See now they are not being so loving towards each other. Maddi once again! I think this pretty much sums up how we all felt after our long drive. But we had fun and Doug found himself a new river to fish. Which apparently has some monster fish in it. He went back to the same place the following week to go camping and fishing.Saturday, October 20, 2012

What happens camping..
And what happens camping doesn't always stay camping. Doug taught Benjamin how to shoot a gun. It was supposed to be a secret but the mintue Ben walks in the door he verbally vomits everything that his Dad taught him. And then says "Dad show mom the pictures." Don't ever tell my Benjamin to keep a secret cause you might as well scream it from the roof tops! Anyway, he loved it.
Benjamin loves camping and fishing, which is a good thing because the two of them go as often as they can. They are truly two peas in a pod!Posted by Douglas, Gina and Benjamin 0 comments

Summer Recap
We had a pretty low key summer. I wasn't really up for fun adventures by myself and three little kids, so we spent a lot of time playing in the backyard, running through sprinklers and playing in the kiddie pool.
We played on the slip in slide, tons We celebrated Genevieve's 2nd Birthday. She wasn't really into her Birthday this year and we couldn't figure out why. Until that night when she came down with the stomach flu, then it was very clear why she didn't want anything to do with cake, ice cream or even presents. Poor girl! Some of the kids friends can't have diary. I think if my kids couldn't have cheese they might die! They are always begging for cheese when I am grating it. Genevieve is sweeping all the fallen cheese into piles. Genevieve will do whatever it takes to make sure none goes to waste! My parents came to visit and see Maddilyn for the first time. I love the look on Maddi's face. She is really trying to figure her Grandpa out. In all fairness, can you blame her? Grandpa is always making funny faces. Genevieve has become quite the big sister. She loves to help, espcially when I don't need or want her help. One day I walked into the room to find Genevieve changing Maddilyn's butt. Now she changes her babies butts. She is very proud of herself and well she takes care of her babies. That diaper is going no where!Posted by Douglas, Gina and Benjamin 1 comments

To give up or not to give up?
I have asked myself this question many times, if I should give up the whole blogging thing or not give up. My reasonings for giving up are that no reads this thing anyway and that I am not very good at it and I am a rather private person. English/Writing were my worst subjects in school, if you don't believe me, ask Doug. He will tell you how bad my writing skills are. So I am slightly embarrassed about my grammer and spelling, because Doug doesn't proof read this blog. But lately (like the last year or so) my emotions have really been on the surface. And I feel like I should write them down in a place other than my journal, because no one reads my journal expect for me. Anyway, so I am going to give this blog thing another try. So if you are reading this right now, please bare with me. I am trying.

Family Photos
While we were in Utah in May, Doug's little sister Kristen was also in Utah at the same time. So we hired her to take our pictures. Here are some of my favorite pictures:

Even though Genevieve was not in a good mood. (She hadn't had a nap and it was super windy) I think we got some good pictures. Thanks for sharing you time and talents with us Kristen. It was good seeing you and your little family.
